Meet Suzanne

Hello, I’m Suzanne Lovell, a freelance Virtual Assistant (VA), approved by the Society of Virtual Assistants.

I became a part-time VA in September 2019, after deciding on a change of career. I had never heard of a Virtual Assistant, but wanted to be a "handy woman” - someone to help small businesses on a flexible basis. I soon realised there was such a thing, more commonly labelled a VA!

Having helped set up and run a small family business over recent years, I’ve been involved in sales, office management, customer relations, finance, IT support and strategy, and recruitment. Prior to this, I was a website developer, so I have a broad skill set.

I love variety, and no day is ever the same! Some clients simply want a website, and I work with them to identify what they need and the best way to achieve that. I generically use SquareSpace (similar to Wix and Word Press) to build new websites, which gives them the ability to content manage the sites themselves after launch, if they wish.

Others use me on a regular basis to support their businesses, on a retainer basis. Tasks include:

  • search engine optimisation (SEO)

  • updating social media

  • updating websites

  • sending out mail campaigns

  • organising marketing materials

  • invoicing

When I’m not working, I’m a mum - I have 2 children, a cat, and a crazy (and very lovable) Romanian rescue dog! To escape the craziness, you might see me running around Long Crendon!
